What is parkour?
Parkour is a type of training and a physical discipline that consists of going from point A to point B in the most efficient and simple way possible. Or at least he was born with that idea. Parkour requires jumping, climbing, running, rolling, balancing, walking on all fours, and any other type of movement that the situation demands. Those who practice it, the so-called traceurs, must combine strength, speed, agility, coordination, control and abundant creativity.
Those who practice parkour do it to improve themselves, become stronger and more agile, overcome their fears and gain self-confidence. The parkour motto is être et durer, which is derived from the Natural Method motto, être forte pour être utile, which means “be strong to be useful.”
In parkour there are no rules. Therefore, freedom of movement is practically total and the limit is the imagination and skill of the athlete.
